I am second grade teacher at Townline Elementary in Kentwood, MI. Many of my students come from economically distressed homes leading them to be hungry and possibly homeless. The stress that type of environment offers is so traumatic I do not wish that upon anyone. My students come to my classroom for a comfortable and stress free environment that is not offered to them at home. It is my goal to provide them with the richest learning experience possible creating successful contributors to society. If you walk into my classroom you see a community where MY KIDS come to fill the gaps that many of us take for granted such as love, compassion, empathy, a place where mistakes are OK, and a sense of family. These kiddos can do great things and bring many smiles to my face each day with their enlightening ideals, motivation, and desire to make a difference!
