My students are all energetic and inquisitive. I have one student who only responses to hands on games and creations. Every transition involves a movement and our class song is the Cha-Cha Slide. Each student is excited about a different subject. Since they all like to pretend to be the teacher, once show ownership (or mastery) of a topic, they are allowed to teach a part of what they learned to the class. They love this and they are always eager to hear what the other students have to say. My school promotes PBIS and has a great rapport with students and parent. Relationships and building a community is very important to the school, especially since our population consist of ESL students and families. We are diverse in other nationalities and promote family involvement though after school activities and parent classes.
