Our PT tech students learn how to assist doctors of physical therapy provide quality care for those recovering from injuries and illnesses that affect the nervous system and musculoskeletal systems. The class focuses on advanced knowledge of these body systems as well as advanced knowledge of exercises, stretches, and application of therapies to assist patients in their recovery. PT techs play a vital role in a patient's return to function as part of the physical therapy team. This challenging class relies heavily on online resources to assist students in learning advanced anatomy, muscle actions, and rehab exercise protocols. In order to get our students ready, we spend the year giving all of our chapter exams on the computer as well have a prep software students can use. As technology continues to grow in the medical field, it has become more difficult for us to always have technology resources available to us. With these Chromebooks, we will be able to work with students one on one and allow students to study before and after school.
