My classroom is made up of proud and strong Native American children. They are world learners who seek out answers and want to know more about everything we read or study! Most of my students are a product of generational trauma and although they face many challenges and struggles, they come to school each day ready to learn and move ahead. I have worked hard to set high expectations and goals for myself and my students in order to close the achievement gap. As a school community and family, we insure our children get fed two meals a day and are always looking for the resources to meet their needs on a daily, weekly, and yearly basis.The students don't have much but we have carved out a safe place for them to learn and thrive at school and as their teacher I love having them with me every day!
