I teach 8th grade Science in Omaha's largest school district. My school is a Title 1 building with 90% free and reduced lunch. I work to provide a hands on learning experience through as many inquiry labs I can fit in during the week. These labs provide interactions with science as opposed to reading about it. My student population is made up of a majority of African American students along with a growing population of Karen students. We are a very unique school with many different socioeconomic and culturally diverse students in one amazing place. I am a forward looking and thinking teacher who is always looking for new innovative ways to engage my students and teach to a level that creates lifelong learners.
