My students are a diverse group of 4th graders who come from varying backgrounds. Their daily excitement for learning motivates me to challenge them with the resources I have available. I would like to make immediate daily access to technology a reality. I have many students who speak English as a second language. Most of my students face challenges such as poverty (over 90% free and reduced lunch count), absent parents for varying reasons, and parents who work so hard to provide for their families that they aren't home as much as they would like. Yet, despite these struggles, I have a student who would like to become a doctor to help care for his mother who has been ill. I have students would would like to be teachers, lawyers, veterinarians, and so many more careers that will require them to be computer literate.
