My students are 9 & 10 year olds who show perseverance, not only in school, but in their lives. They work hard and hope for a better future, despite the meek circumstances that surround them. They are an inspiration and my motivation to be the best teacher I can. I teach at a Title I school with a high population of English language learners. In my classroom, we are a community of learners. A community where I am a resource to my students and a facilitator of learning. My job is to guide my students through their journey of discovery, learning & exploration. My students are hungry for knowledge and I want to empower them to become lifelong learners. I want to give them the skills they need to pursue knowledge long after they've left my classroom.
