If you ask about my students, I'd say they are amazingly resilient and filled with an excitement to learn that I wish everyone could possess. When you walk in our classroom and see them engaged in an activity you can literally feel the moment. It has actually given me goosebumps. If you ask about our school, I'd tell you that we are a Title I school with limited funds available where the majority of our students are provided with free meals. It is a beautiful community, however, with such diversity and a feeling of belonging. I believe access to the "right" resources can help provide equity which is why I am on a mission to better integrate technology. Preparing and training these students for the 21st Century and eventually careers begins with me as their elementary school teacher.
