Just as student personalities come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so do their learning styles. Auditory learners are able to learn by hearing. The Korg TM-60 Tuners will play the pitch for the kids to match. However, some students are visual learners and having the tuner mic clipped to their instrument will give them a visual of whether they are playing in tune or not. Intonation is part of the band foundation and the tuners will give our kids, no matter what their primary learning style, the opportunity to find success. These tuners also have a built in metronome and seeing as how a steady beat is also foundational to a good band we will be able to work towards both using this one tool. The slide grease and valve oil are basic supplies that our students use to maintain their instruments. Having these readily available will help our students keep things movin'!
