My sixth grade students are awesome, sweet kids. I serve a very diverse community, culturally, economically and academically that includes many English Language Learners. My students are very eager to learn, but struggle at times with various learning disabilities. Many have limited use of technology at home but love to use technology to enhance their learning in the classroom. My school is not considered a Title 1 school so we have limited resources to purchase items like iPads for our students. We have many students who are not fortunate enough to have electronic devices or Internet service at home and we have limited use of technology here at school. We are a rather big campus and its very difficult to use the resources here at school on a regular basis.
