I teach 137 amazing students that truly enjoy ancient history. Within our 6th grade we have over 450 students. All of which will be have the opportunity to have 3-D models in their classes as well. Our students enjoy learning about civilizations such as the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans to name a few. My students are always seeking more information about the topics we are learning about. However, we do not always have the best resources to give our students the information they seek. I am fortunate to work at Davis Drive Middle School which is one of the best schools in Wake County. However, we are lacking current, up to date technology. We also do not have a large variety of technology, just your typical laptop and desktop computers. By purchasing the 3-D printer and different color filaments(the "ink") we will be able to create the 3-D models for our students. These items will give our students a new type of technology that they will see more of in the future.
