The student body makeup is 48 percent male and 52 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 98 percent. Black enrollment is 95%, White enrollment is 2%, Hispanic enrollment is 2% and two or more races enrollment is 1%. Math proficiency is determined by student results on the school's End of Course tests: Does Not Meet Standards - 68%, Meets Standards - 29%, and Exceeds Standards -3% English proficiency is determined by student results on the school's End of Course tests: Does Not Meet Standards - 35%, Meets Standards - 54%, and Exceeds Standards - 11%. Our College and Career Ready Performance index is 61.4. Our students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement course work, International Baccalaureate course work and exams. AP participation rate at our School is 44 percent. Most of them are economically disadvantaged.
