My 22 third graders are eager to learn and even more eager to use technology on a daily basis. Some of my students come from homes full of technology and have adapted to learning and engaging in everyday activities through technology. However, at school, with limited funds, we cannot always provide the same technological environment in our classrooms. Other students of mine, come from homes without any opportunities to utilize technology and are falling behind in the technological era we live in. Having a couple iPads available would expose every student in my class to the endless possibilities of educational apps and programs available right in the classroom. My colleagues and I are always looking for ways to provide our students with the best chance to succeed both in, and out, of school. iPads would help us reach this goal.
