My students love reading and stories of all varieties, and I love teaching music while incorporating literacy skills. In music class, a clever story can help struggling students make abstract connections to music. The "Freddie the Frog" book series is a creative way for students to learn music theory and remember what they have learned. Your generous donation will help lay the foundation of reading and music skills to hundreds of students. Getting an early start loving music and reading is extremely important for these students. These materials will give these students an opportunity to get a head-start in their music education, enabling them to learn faster and go farther in their musical experiences.
