I work in an inner city school that often has very limited supplies. My students come from a variety of backgrounds, but many can't afford to buy small items such as binders or paper. We also cannot afford many field trips, so students must learn from one another in meaningful ways. Many students are eager to learn, but face obstacles that can impact their ability to stay focused. Providing them with some basic supplies can make a huge difference in their attitude in the classroom.
