My students are workers and the leaders of tomorrow. They are incredible overcomers and supporters of each other. Attending a title one school can be a challenge, but we work to give our students all they do not get to experience at home. This year I have been truly blessed to work with the same group of students as I looped up from 4th grade to 5th grade. My students have built an awesome classroom community and love learning and working together! They support each other because of and despite their differences in life and learning needs. I have always worked hard to help out those kids that just can't sit still! As a mother of two little boys I understand their need to move and move. My students are allowed to stand and work, walk around or sit or lie down on the rug. I have some scoop seats for rocking as well as comfy chairs for reading. Our classroom is a room for learning as one finds they need.
