I strive to make my classroom one that is developmentally appropriate for transitional kindergartners. I was lucky enough to have a sand table given to me by a retiring teacher, but unfortunately it does not come with kinetic sand. There are so many benefits for children to having kinetic sand! It can assist with fine motor skills, help with sensory processing disorder, encourage creative thinking, and provides a sense of calm to those little ones who are experiencing anxiety. It can also help students develop social skills like problem solving, sharing, and communicating!
