In the 21st century, technology has become a vital part of our culture. Technology has been beneficial in many different ways for education. I would like my students to be able to use tablets in the classroom. This will help the students become familiar with how to access the internet and start building their typing skills. My students will use these tablets several times during the school day. These tablets will allow students to use educational apps, tech games, ELA/math lessons and online books! Some of my students will have access to the tablets during Language Arts. The students will use the tablets to work on phonics skills and have a reading book that is an appropriate level for them. The students will also have access to the tablets during our Daily 5/learning center time. The tablets will be used so that the students can hear a read-aloud story. Each tablet needs a pair of headphones so the students using the tablets do not disrupt their peers' learning. These tablets will allow students at any academic level to reach their full potential. A student that may be struggling will be able to use programs that will catch them up with their peers. Using the tablets, I will be able to assign more challenging tasks to students who are excelling. These tablets are an important part of the classroom to be able to have a variety of ways to teach all students.
