I'm a second grade teacher at a Title I school where over 70% of our students receive free and reduced priced lunch. My class is made up of students from around the world such as El Salvador and Sierra Leone. I teach a class of 19 students, ages 7 – 9. There are 11 boys and 8 girls, 2 African Americans, 4 White, 13 Latino and 1 Pacific Islander. 14 of my students receive ESOL services while 7 students receive special education services.
