My students inspire me each and every day with their creative thinking, their kindness, and their love for learning. As I stand in the front of the room, I think about how sitting in these uncomfortable desks and chairs all day can affect one's brain chemistry. When given the choice of where to sit each day, my students end up lying down on the carpet or under their desks and often running fast to get into the 2 bean bag chairs I have provided. They learn best when they feel comfortable, and the traditional chair and desk for each kid is dead. Flexible furniture with the requested carpet, Wobble Chairs, and fitness balls would change our classroom for the better!
