Have you ever arrived to a music class and there were only a few instruments and none of them were what you wanted to learn? I have many students who this has happen to and I want to change this. Music is in everything that we do in life and students deserve the opportunity to have the chance to see if being a musician is their calling. With the population of students I serve I have come to realize that the guitar is the universal instrument, and having them would enhance my classroom because students would have the chance to implement the theory they have learned through practice. The affirmation at my school says, "Success is achieved through hard work and perseverance" - MWA The way to work hard in the classroom and see results musically is to take what they have learned and allow it to flourish by showing their parents, friends, and teachers that they are musicians. These guitars would increase productivity towards student goals of learning an instrument and performing at their middle school graduation in the upcoming year.
