My students come from an extremely transient area. For some, the only consistency they have is at school. They all have special needs that make it difficult for them to interact with their world. I provide the love and support they need to learn and grow. I facilitate meaningful experiences and learning! I also teach daily living skills and anything they need to function in the world. The program we use, along with their delays, require concrete items to help make the concepts come alive! My goal is for my students to engage with the regular education environment. Some students don't know how to engage due to their special needs. Most love trying, getting messy, and school! It is my job to make sure that they continue loving school since they are lucky enough to have an early start! Many of my students just need someone to provide the structure so they can learn and grow! Typically, my students end up teaching ME daily...they don't care where you come from, they care about who you are.
