I teach 2nd grade in a title 1 school in the inner city. This means that I teach Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies in an 8 hour day with the students. My students are also used to teaching themselves and raising themselves, leaving little time for them to sit back and relax like normal 2nd graders. Some of my students at 2nd grade are responsible for watching themselves and completing all work for school.
