If you have ever worked with an accelerated/gifted child, then you would understand the need for differentiated and enriched activities. My students are unique and I love watching them engage themselves in lessons and activities in our classroom. Because I often have my students work on hands-on activities and projects, we are constantly running low on materials and supplies. Having kids engaged in project based learning activities is definitely a must to boost critical thinking and problem solving skills. These are two areas that I focus on throughout the year.
