My students are members of a pre-engineering academy housed in a large public high school. These students dedicate many hours and electives to technology and engineering. They are a very special group of people, being very quick to learn and well rounded. In the classroom/lab we try to bring in as many new technologies as possible on a daily basis. This group of students will be the inventors, designers, and engineers of the future taking on the new technologies such as nanotechnology, additive technology (3-D printing and digitizing), and lasers and photonics. They are part of the maker evolution. Providing them as much exposure to new technologies can only benefit them in their endeavors.
