My students range in age from seventh grade to twelfth grade. I teach a variety of classes to my students ranging from nutrition and wellness to career exploration and relationships. These classes provide me the opportunity to teach my students lessons that they will need later in their adult lives as well as making them applicable to their lives now. The materials we need would provide students in my nutrition and wellness, junior high FACS and advanced foods courses the opportunity to learn about nutrition guidelines, nutritional value of foods and careers in the food industry that they may not otherwise have outside of school. I teach in a small school where the students learn to use what we have to make our labs possible. The students at my school are enthusiastic and excited when partaking in labs and class activities during FACS class.
