By exerting energy throughout the day, my students will be able to stay focused on the task at hand - LEARNING! The standing desks will allow students who are normally sitting, a different atmosphere to learn. The bouncy bands will benefit those students who just can't keep their feet still! Instead of kicking other students, they can exert their energy by kicking the bands. The pedals will serve the same purpose of the bands... these are for students who just can't sit still! Research shows that students have a developmental need for movement in which flexible seating will accommodate this need as they "shift positions, rock, rotate, stand and roll". (Flexible Learning Environments, 2016).
