I am lucky enough to have these students in my class. September 2012 was my first year of teaching where I was introduced to these kids. I never imagined bonding with a group of children like I did. When it came to June of 2013, I was excited for summer but sincerely sad to leave them. To my surprise, I was informed I would be moving up with my students to teach 1st/2nd self contained. I am honored to further my practices to these children. Not only am I excited to teach them again, but I long to build a consistent relationship filled with love and learning. Although they are labeled as Special Needs, my students are the smartest and hardest working. My kids are truly inspiring, they show such compassion to everyone they meet, even with their unideal home situations. My school is a general ed PK-8 school. I take pride that I am a special education teacher in the Bronx, NY.
