I work at a Title 1 school where at least 85% of the students are on free and reduced lunch and English is their second language. My students have learning disabilities and are in my class for a portion of the day where we work on academic and social goals. Many of our students do not have the materials or support at home, so we provide them with as much as we can while at school. Further, due to our limited PTA funding, most of the resources and supplies come out of the teachers pockets, including my own.
