Our students are energetic, curious, and eager-to-learn fifth graders who greet us with a smile everyday no matter what circumstances they may face. We are two teachers teaching at a Title 1 school to ensure that our students are given the opportunity to achieve at the same rate as non at-risk students. For many of our students, Spanish is their first language; for others, English is their first language. They work very hard each day to become stronger readers and to get ready for middle school. Unfortunately, there are not enough resources to ensure they are on the road to college. They deserve novels that will engage their lively personalities. We want to keep their minds blooming, all they need is a good book!

About my class
