My students ages range from 11-14. They are very energetic and fun to be around. What I love most about my students is that they love learning. Even the ones that struggle academically show interest in proving that they too, can excel in excellence in all that they do. I teach in a school that is predominately African-American and Latino. My students come from very diverse backgrounds that presents challenges for me and themselves. In spite of those challenges, I love coming to work everyday. Most of all, I absolutely love teaching. My school has worked really hard in becoming a school of excellence. It has gone from being known as one of Clayton county's worst middle schools but is now being recognized as a Title 1 Reward School. This award recognizes my school as being among the top ten percent of Title I schools in the State that are making the most progress in improving the performance of the all student groups over a number of years.
