If we are fortunate to receive these laptops, my students will be able to take advantage of so many wonderful programs and websites available to help them as they acquire their new language, such as Imagine Learning, MyON, Starfall, and countless others. For students who come from a wide range of educational experiences, technology helps bridge some of the gaps and provides differentiated instruction. By having access to these sites, the students can experience visuals and translations which are often scarce in some of the regular texts, but which are instrumental in their learning. Unfortunately, the majority of my students do not have access to computers or internet at home, as their parents cannot afford such luxuries. The little time they are here with me is sometimes the only chance to get to experience the amazing resources that are available to them.
