Students with Autism need a variety of materials to assist them in learning academic, social, self regulating, and sensory skills. I teach a classroom for students in grades first to third with a diagnosis of autism. This program has been designed utilizing best practices to meet the individualized needs of each student. The school is creating an inclusive environment for students with autism throughout all grade levels and abilities in hopes it can be a model for other schools and districts.
