This class set will help my students gain a new appreciation for the works of William Shakespeare as this book takes the popular movie Star Wars and adapts it into the language of the Bard. Students will find that being familiar with the story and characters makes the language easier to understand. Additionally, the book's comedic tone makes for a highly engaging experience, and as the students will be studying Romeo and Juliet the very next year, William Shakespeare's Star Wars would allow them to have a very positive experience with Shakespeare and lay the groundwork for future study. By being introduced to William Shakespeare and his style of writing in this way, many students who would otherwise dread reading his plays will find themselves excited for the opportunity.
