My classroom is filled with energetic, curious, and hardworking sixth-grade students who come to math with a wide range of abilities and learning needs. Some students are ready to be challenged and pushed beyond grade-level expectations, while others need additional time, small-group instruction, and hands-on support to build foundational skills and confidence. In addition to teaching sixth-grade math, I work with students in small groups who need Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention. These smaller groups allow me to meet students where they are, address specific learning gaps, and provide targeted instruction in a setting where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes. My goal is to create a classroom where every student has the opportunity to experience success in math.
