I have a classroom full of fun and loving kindergarteners who loves doing art projects. Each day, they cannot wait for their turn at the art table. I can see their excitement and eagerness in their eyes as they await their turn to be selected to do their project. We are a Title I school, consisting of 75% of the students receiving free or reduce lunch. We have a high population of English Language Learners who need support in oral language, vocabulary, and grammar. I would like to foster these skills through art. This year, our school district is aligning Visual and Performing Arts along with Common Core standards. In the last 2 years, I volunteered to take part in the Arts For All training program to learn how to teach art education. Although instructions were provided, funding for art supplies is currently not available. As a result, I am recycling old watercolor paint pans and brushes that are ready to fall off its' henges. We thank you in advance for your donation.
