My students represent a very wide spectrum of skill levels, as well as diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. I have students who are English Learners at a second-grade reading level in the same class as a GATE cluster. Students in my classes have IEPs, 504s, and other challenges that interfere with their learning. However, I have very few students who do not possess the will to learn, and the result is a vibrant and motivated classroom culture.
