Our students are bright, young 3rd and 4th graders in an urban setting who are eager to learn and explore. They attend a school that is highly supportive of individual needs, very nurturing to the whole child and at the same time pushes academics to great heights. We encourage students to be critical thinkers, to analyze and evaluate, and to question thoughtfully. One way to allow students to enhance these skills is through the use of technology such as the document camera and scanner. This way students can display their work for review and analysis from their peers. Teachers can empower students by using the students' work in their lessons and students can truly see themselves in the curriculum. Our students get excited any time technology is part of the lesson. They are able to focus when using laptops and computers and are always very engaged when using a SMART Board. We are interested in taking this level of engagement and excitement to a higher level. Our kids deserve this & more!
