My students come from low socioeconomic homes, many of which are single parents, and some are in foster care. They need kinesthetic learning that involves using materials to deepen understanding of core concepts. My students love to learn and have been having a blast with what we've done so far this year in math. As a beginning teacher, I've struggled to compile the resources that would be conducive to a strong learning environment. Many times I have been borrowing from other teachers which inconveniences them, and I'd like to always have the resources in my room so students can use them for support in learning, as well as extra practice.
