Students learn the basics in the building trades and professions to prepare them to enter a career. They train for carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, tile, painting and all that goes into a structure. Safety is most important in every training area. They use actual materials, hand and power tools to practice building real life examples of each trade area. Wooden boxes, concrete benches, garden sheds, sheet metal, wiring, plumbing and painting are just some of their work. This means that their daily safety is crucial. Power tools are noisy, make dust and are a real danger to eyes and hearing. Any injury to their hearing or eyes is potentially crippling. Safety protection is part of every lesson so injuries can be avoided.
