Our school is classified as a Title One school. Our demographics tend to lean heavily in the direction of the label of "poverty," yet these wonderful students that attend here are eager to learn, very respectful of their peers and adults alike, and truly try to live positively in each and every moment. Last year, we began sharing our campus with another school started up by our district, and our students were able to accept the sudden growth in population and handle it all in stride. Many of our students don't have the traditional nuclear family, but still receive love and support from home from other relatives that have accepted the role of caregiver. These kids have adjusted well to and with their given circumstances. Though most of these students don't possess many of the material things that other higher-income families may have, they continue to be happy and positive, and most tend to share those traits with those they come in contact with. They are truly a joy to be around.
