My students are a wonderful group of 5 and 6 year olds from a small, rural, town. My sweet kids have the best sense of humor and such a love of life, no matter how difficult their situation might be at home. Our school has a very high poverty rate and many of my students come to school tired, hungry, and at times, in need of a good bath. Somehow, through all of the adversity they face, they still come to school with a smile on their faces, ready to learn! They light up when they hear we are learning of doing something new! There is never a dull moment in my classroom. These kiddos keep me on my toes all day long and blow me away each day with how much they are capable of learning at such a small age!!
