My first grade students are amazing learners! Some come from very structured, wealthy homes, while others come from quite opposite. I have found that all types of students benefit from being able to use technology as motivation to behave, an interest they want to research or learn more about, or for fun after working so hard throughout the day! Our school is a wonderful community that works together to create a learning environment safe for all! However, because we are not a Title 1 school, we aren't always able to benefit from some of the other grants that are offered to Title 1 schools. This can cause some struggle to get materials we need to enhance the learning of our students. Our school only has one computer lab, which is used by all 457 students! This leaves little time for a class to fit in to work on research or practice using technology.
