My students live in a low socioeconomic, high crime neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. Our families often struggle to provide the necessities for their children. We are a Title I, K-12 school. 100% of our students receive free meals. I teach a transitional kinder/kindergarten class. My students always try their best at everything that is presented to them. They are eager children who approach everyday as a new learning experience. They find joy in learning new things and hearing new stories. Although they may face challenges in their daily lives, my students strive to be their very best. Each and every day my students live our classroom motto: Try Your Best!
