My 1st grade students attend a Title I neighborhood school near a university. They come to school each day eager and ready to learn. There are diverse economic and social backgrounds within the classroom, which often times leads to learning experiences within the classroom. It is my goal to teach and prepare these students using Common Core State Standards and not only prepare them for 2nd grade, but prepare them for a life-time of learning.
