All of my students are immigrants - our school has students from over 25 countries and speak over 30 languages. What ties all of the diversity together in my classroom is the reason that our families chose to move to America - to fulfill their dreams and give a better life to their children. I'd love to give my kids a chance to read stories and to tell their stories to a wider audience so that they feel empowered and heard.
