Currently we are unable to share books and have very limited supply for all our students. We have to provide a one on one novel to students and then they must be quarantined before another student can use them. My students' reading levels and interests range from Kindergarten level to middle school level and these novels will provide grade level yet accessible novels that are high interest while allowing me to give each student a novel in hand to read. I can use these with all my classes and have enough to give each student a copy, then after quarantine give them a different title. I will be able to reuse these novels with other classes for years to come. The best part of these titles is the tie in provided to other subject areas that allows students to relate what we read to history, science, art, and many other academic areas. When students learn material in multiple classes, they often retain it much better.
