I remember going to music class as an elementary student and having a very small number of instruments that were brought out on special days. We didn't have many so they were passed around the classroom, and often there wasn't enough time for everyone to get a turn. I am looking to put more drums in more students' hands! Students are more engaged in music lessons when they are actively making music, and they get so excited about any opportunity to play instruments. Hand drums may seem like such a simple music classroom instrument, but they are so great for little hands and will give my students the opportunity to play along with our singing games, recorded music, as well as be able to create their own music using these hand drums. The different sizes will be great for hearing different timbres as well as give students opportunities to see what works best for their hands as they learn to play a musical instrument. Please help me to provide more instruments for my students!
