Necessarily, this senior level photography class works with students using whatever camera they have available to them. Most have smartphone cameras to work with in satisfying assignments. 5 or 6 students have their own DSLR cameras. The art department has no cameras. I would like all the students to have the chance to learn how to operate a DSLR camera; to learn when and how to adjust the settings and understand what the image will reflect as a result. Having three cameras will allow everyone to get hands-on learning when topics such as exposure setting, aperture opening, depth of field, and other topics are taught.
