Our students are bright, enthusiastic learners in grades K - 12 for whom English is not their native language. They have the same dreams and aspirations as their native-English-speaking peers, but often have to work twice as hard to reach them. In addition to learning the grade level content, they need to develop their English language skills at the same time. They need to learn to speak, listen, read and write in English on par with their peers. It usually takes 5 - 7 years for these students to reach English language proficiency. The teachers who teach them need a lot of knowledge and skill to help them reach their goals.

About my class
